I've been employed as a graphic and web designer for the past seven years, currently I work for Associated New Ventures, the online company designing and constructing websites for the Daily Mail newspaper group. Before this I'd worked for high street banks, blue chip companies and small businesses alike whilst employed at design agencies and on a freelance basis.
When not discovering new graphic techniques, designing components and interactivity workflow for web sites I spend my time mountain biking and dreaming of the next snowfall in the mountains so that I can slide (fall) down a slope on a snowboard. Occasionally I may even mention them here.
I use this website as my online portfolio showcasing the work I've been involved in creating over the past five years for web and print. I also use the site as a development area where ideas and techniques are explored, tested, recorded and commented upon.
I use Web Hosting by pipeten.com to host this site. I've an account with plenty of bandwidth, space and all the technology I need to be able to try most things.
Whilst building this site, like the others I have worked upon over the last couple of years I have incorporated into the design a number of accessibility techniques and practices. I've also consciously left a few out, as it is becoming increasing obvious to those who have far greater knowledge about accessibility than myself that many of the principles employed in recent times to improve accessibility are in fact degrading the experience of those they intend to help.
With this aside I believe that I have achieved level 1 and 2 (A and AA) standards of accessibility, if you disagree then please get in touch and I will try and rectify the situation. Please also let me know if you find any part of this site hard to access with your particular device.
This is my online portfolio, showcasing work created in the seven years I've been a graphic and web designer.
