Using CSS frameworks

Dec 3, 11:50 AM

The debate about using css frameworks has been raging over the past few weeks, I have some experience in this field having developed a framework of sorts which is currently used across a number of quite large websites and although their use helps define a number of key elements such as the removal of default browse styling and resets fonts to a consistent 1.0em, thats about all.

There’s quite a lot of comment at the moment surrounding the usability, integration and introduction of RSS feeds to users.

Macromedia Contribute

I’ve not really had the need to use Macromedia Dreamweaver for quite some time due to the type of design and production work I do on a regular basis.

Recently this has changed and I’ve been using the software in combination with Contribute from Macromedia. The software is a light weight content management tool which enables non web savvy people to manage and maintain web sites created with Dreamweaver templates in a WIZYWIG drag and drop fashion.

This is my online portfolio, showcasing work created in the seven years I've been a graphic and web designer.

I also use the site as a development area where ideas and techniques are explored and commented upon.
