This is Money is the leading independent personal finance website written in Plain English. The site has won numerous industry and consumer awards, including the Association of British Insurers' award for Financial Website of the Year in 2004.

Packed with up-to-the-minute news as well as expert opinion and helpful advice guides, This is Money is a shortcut to managing your money. From a safe and secure share dealing service to everyday money-saving tips, This is Money has it all.

In December 2004 the site was re launched with a new design using a web standards approach based upon the success, template functionality and ease of maintenance achieved with the then 9 month old Dailymail.co.uk. The site in most aspects uses the same template and structures as the Mail Online, however the re design allowed for the optimisation of many of the feature and code crossed over from the Mail Online. The Mail Online subsequently inherited many of these improvements.

Style and design examples for This is Money

Many additional features and tools were created specifically for This is Money, these include:

• Ad Impact, alternately known as Ad Clutter, whereby ad spaces are collapsed if unsold, this was successfully transferred to the Mail Online.
• Ad tag controlled channel sponsorships enabling a fast turn around times when creative campaigns are delivered.
• The creation of easily maintained tabular data where all visual styling is controlled with style sheets and DOM scripts allowing feeds to be simply incorporated into a lightweight table template.
